Maha Sakthi Thunai
For eleven years, Guruji’s parents prayed for the blessing of a male child. They visited many temples, observed many vows and fasts, and offered many prayers. During that time, a couple who lived near their home gave Guruji’s parents a photograph of Puttaparthi Sakthi Sairam and told them to pray for the blessing of a son. Guruji’s parents worshipped before the photograph, and a miracle happened: in that very year, they were blessed with a baby boy.
Guruji’s Birth and Blessings
Guruji’s parents wished that Puttaparthi Sai Baba himself should name their child, so they took the child to Him. As soon as the child was placed before Sai Baba, He immediately said that He would give the child His own name and named him “Sakthi Sairam.” Before Guruji’s parents could even ask, Sai Baba himself had named the child. This was regarded as a miracle of Sai Baba, and those present said that the child was a very special and miraculous child. Guruji’s parents were overjoyed. Thereafter, Guruji visited Puttaparthi many times, met Sai Baba, spoke with Him, and received His blessings.
Puttaparthi Sai Baba
Guruji first visited Baba when he was studying in the 10th standard. He visited Baba again when he was around 20 years old. On that occasion, Baba personally recognized him and called him.
Thiru Paranjothi Mahaan
Some time later, when Guruji was eight years old, his father took him to Thiru Paranjothi Mahaan and requested, “Please teach this child meditation.” Thiru Paranjothi Mahaan replied, “Yes, I will teach him.” He taught Guruji meditation, and during the time Guruji trained there, many miracles occurred.
The Jeeva Samadhi of Thiru Paranjothi Mahaan is located in Thiruvotriyur.
Kanchi Periyavar
After this, Guruji’s father wished to take him to Kanchi Periyavar to receive his blessings. Accordingly, he took Guruji to Kanchipuram. At that time, there was a large crowd around Kanchi Periyavar. Even in that crowd, it is remarkable that Kanchi Periyavar noticed Guruji and his father. He called both of them, removed the cloth that was on his shoulder, tied kumkum in it as a small bundle, and gave it to Guruji. He also said, “In the future, this boy will establish a temple. At that time, place this bundle of kumkum in the sanctum sanctorum.”
What a wonder! Today, this bundle of kumkum is placed beneath the divine image of Mahasakthi (Ekan) at our Shambhala Yantra Dhyan Lokam in Thirumazhisai. [Kanchi Periyavar knew about our Guruji even then—that is his greatness.]
A Path Through the Years
Guruji’s parents prayed for eleven years for the blessing of a male child. In the year they worshipped before the photograph of Puttaparthi Sakthi Sairam, they were blessed with a baby boy, later named Sakthi Sairam by Sai Baba.
Guruji’s father took him to Thiru Paranjothi Mahaan, who taught Guruji meditation. During the time Guruji trained there, many miracles occurred.
Guruji first visited Baba when he was studying in the 10th standard.
Guruji’s father took him to Thiru Sivalingam Ayya to learn the mantras, tantras, and spiritual teachings through which divine grace may be received.
During Guruji’s college years, Yogi Sri Ram Surat (Azhukku Mootai Swami) often appeared in his dreams and meditation, calling him to Tiruvannamalai.
Guruji visited Baba again when he was around 20 years old. On that occasion, Baba personally recognized him and called him.

Miracle of Mahasakthi Appearing
In his childhood, Guruji tried to practise what he had learned. At that time, a miracle occurred. As Guruji chanted a mantra, Mahasakthi appeared before him from behind. The form appeared white and extremely radiant. Guruji told his mother, “Mother, this is Mahasakthi.” His mother immediately said that Maha Muneeswarar had appeared. At that moment, the form grew many times larger and appeared in a majestic form. [That same form is now consecrated at our Shambhala Yantra Lokam.]
